Sorry I waited almost a week to post this, but I've had a lot of my own shit to deal with lately.
I thought I was gonna just run down the individual sketches, but I realized that I don't have anything new to say about them. I do have some things to say in general.
First of all, it came as a surprise to me that Kyle Coughlin was giving up his position as the Director of Farce Side. At least he's still a cast member.
Ty Thursby as Director? Well, there's no doubt as to his track record. It could've just as easily been him or Kevin Horst because they've been around the longest, and because of their talent. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
The saddest moment for me was that this was Brianna Quijada's last show. Her distinctive style, cheerful personality, stellar performances, and energetic vibe would always brighten the stage up.
I remember that when she first started on Farce Side, she had already been thrust into a major role. The sketch was called, "I'm not an addict," and it featured Brianna, a former male FS member, and one of my old favorites, Beth Froelich. The bulk of the sketch was basically one big fight scene, and I can remember being amazed at how Brianna pulled it off so well. She didn't take her time making an impact, and she continued to do so for three years since then.
I wish she was staying. I love watching her perform.
The reason why I'm not reviewing the Barren Mind segment is because I couldn't stick around for all of it. There is a reason why I had to go, and I will reveal it soon.

I know why you left..bad gas. It's okay, and you did the right thing by leaving. Why put others through your own pain.

That's okay... I'll give you the review of the Barren Mind show that you betrayed so cold heartedly: Team BM won the overall show... but the true winner was Team BMI, because we had Steve on our team.

Chuck's rather lame joke notwithstanding, I did have a good reason for leaving, and here it is.
As most of you remember, Trevor Thon departed the Barren Mind cast last year. On the same night as the "Best of"/BM vs. BMi show, he was set to perform at The Comedy Spot at the 8 & 10PM shows. I'm currently a writer at AZ Weekly Magazine, and that's why I left to catch the 10PM show, so I could do a feature on him, which will be in the May 8 issue.

And you couldn't just tell us that before because?

Haven't you learned anything? I like to be vague, to leave people curious.
That, and I wanted to get confirmation from the editor first.

No, it was gas. I could smell it in Colorado. Plus there were stink lines coming from your butt, so I was told.

Rex-Factor was right, that was such a good show. Even though I couldn't be there, I know everbody was super sexy. But his review of Trevor Thon was better, and by better I mean sexier. In Gene news, I'm back in rehab, because Dean tricked me into a refrigerator box that I thought was an apartment. But it wasn't. That's why I couldn't go to the last show. Sorry guys. But Karean's coming and sneaking me some Xanax...I'm soooooo bad at rehab! At least I have my Stephen King novels... My son told me I guest-starred on "Will and Grace" a few years ago. I thought he was lying, so I hit him with a pillowcase filed with doorknobs. Turns out he was telling the truth! I was so fucked up that whole time, I don't remember it! Seriously though, Debra Messing looks real weird naked.
