For some reason, I can't seem to think of a good way to open this review, so let's just get to it, shall we?
"Wacky sound disease" I suppose you could call this one surreal comedy. I’ve seen things in the media like this, where someone is nervous and it results in something embarrassing happening.
Only this time instead of farting, sweating, or breaking out in hives, this multi-scene sketch used funny sound effects. I believe it was meant to satirize said comedy plot device, but also to take a step off the beaten path, which I like.
“Limeades” I guess you could call this observational humor. There’s two guys hanging out at Sonic, and everyone around them is pressuring them to buy a limeade as a way of supporting a charity. It’s just funny how everyone else kept putting the squeeze on the two main guys.
"Jesus of Tempe" What would happen if Jesus returned as a college student in Tempe? Ladies and gentlemen, here's your answer!
The whole sketch was one big satire. As someone who's seen this show for seven years, I thought this was going to result in some cringing moments. That was not the result. It was a light-hearted affair. Not too shabby.
"Museum of Fart History" More satire. The show appears to be dabbling more in historical eras these days. I was fairly satisfied.
Normally I finish the review by rating it on a scale of ten, but now, after talking with a friend of mine, I’m thinking I should start rating the shows with letter grades. Since I’m uncertain, I’m asking everyone to weigh in on this. How do you people think I should rate the shows?
For now…
My final score is 8.75 out of 10.
