This review is a few days late, but the honest truth is, it was hard for me to find enough words to critique it. Writing these reviews is not as easy as you think.
Sadly, this one still did not hit the perfect 10 mark that I was hoping for. Farce Side still has a chance.
"Nar-nia" I've never seen any of the Narnia flicks, so I can't comment on that front. I did enjoy the humor, and the delivery, somewhat.
What I enjoyed the most was Mike Skarsten's outing here. I really believe that he did well, and I hope he keeps it up.
"The birthday boy" There were times I was going, "is this for real?" I was constantly wondering how far this was going to go, and then they pulled off the twist ending when it turns out that the guy's birthday had already passed.
I don't know if I would call this my favorite sketch, but I will give it props for the plot.
"Heart-broken" I got the sequel thing wrong last time, but this I'm sure about. I remember that Farce Side had done a Captain Planet sketch seven years ago. The plot was different, but the basic idea was the same as this one.
In this sketch, the Planeteers - Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water -basically shun the guy who wields the Heart ring - played by Ben Backhaus - so he uses said item to attract women. Way to abuse your power dude. Still, I would love to do that myself.
After that, you just know how it's gonna end, but it was still good to watch.
My final score is 8.8 out of 10.
