I'll just jump right into it.
"A little undercooked"
The strange gutteral noises just before eating the burgers? Uh, that seemed pretty forced. I'm not sure what exactly was being accomplished here.
"Keith Downey-Town: The Second Coming"
This one I did like. Keith and Kevin prove that expressions say it all. This sketch took a very old concept, silent comedy, and somehow managed to refresh it into something that was enjoyable.
"3 rats"
Hmm. Alison just loves to go there.
It was certainly something new. If I was gonna do something like this, I don't think I could've come up with rats in the vagina. I don't have the right comedic mind for that kind of humor, but she does.
Has anyone noticed that Kyle is sort of typecast? He seems to enjoy playing doctor roles.
The addition of physical comedy at the end allowed this sketch to stand out on its own. Not bad.
"I didn't know you were gay"
At first I thought that this was gonna be just your typical gay humor comedy, but then the strap-on came out and I knew this was going to be something outrageous. Brianna really showed me something I didn't expect from her. The way the other girls sold their reactions was priceless.
"Bug revolution"
Swerves anyone?
This one seemed a bit, operatic because of how the songs were sung, and because it was bugs vs. humans, like an epic conflict.
I think that the show was well-performed, but in closing, I have something to say.
One of the reasons I've been around as a fan for six years is because Farce Side delivers a brand of comedy that stands apart from the rest. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but whenever the sketches are so incredibly funny, I stomp my feet in laughter. I remember that, during the Comedy Festival of 2006, I laughed so hard my throat hurt.
I haven't been stomping my feet, or laughing my way into a sore throat lately. I want to do that again.
My final score is 8.75 out of 10.
