Strong opening, well-written sketches, and a strong finish. Those words could easily describe this show, but I'm gonna use more words anyway.
"Cha Cha Vote"
I first heard the song "Cha Cha Slide" during my senior prom, but I didn't actually dance to it. I was pleasantly surprised to not only hear it again, but also that it was used so effectively during a sketch about voting.
Joe was the one who "voted," and if anyone had any doubts about him to this point, this sketch has extinguished them.
"See Ya"
It's basically Joel getting the last word. Can you guess what he kept saying? Well delivered dude.
"Red shirt"
A little dramatic irony here. Nick winds up getting ganged up on because he's in Target, and he's wearing a red shirt. Of course he delivers pretty well, as always.
"Announcement"
A little observation comedy here. For some reason Ty kept getting pissed off when someone kept making announcements. What's so bad about them anyway?
You look at Ty and at first you don't think that he can play angry characters. Ironically that's what makes him effective as a pissed off guy. You just don't see it coming.
"I'm a Democrat"
I think that Farce Side proved something about itself. No matter how hard you dissect politics, you can make fun of it over and over again. Somehow the chemistry between Alex P. and Alison worked.
In terms of "News," Brian Rhoads made his triumphant return to Farce Side, and it was a welcome one indeed. I loved seeing him do news again. He had his reasons for leaving Farce Side in the first place, and even though this was a one-shot deal, it was still a sight to see.
Of course, he was there 'cause Keith Downey wasn't, and neither was Kyle Coughlin. They'll be back.
My final score is 9.3 out of 10.
