This was certainly a big day for Farce Side. This was their last regular show of the year, but that's not all. In addition to a late start thanks to technical issues, they traveled to Tucson along with Barren Mind to do a show with U of A's own troupe: Comedy Corner. I was there for that one.
"Busboys"
If they had done this without the movie trailer gimmick, it wouldn't have had the same impact. Personally I thought it was well done.
"Sex Mix-tape"
I've seen many off-the-wall guys come and go on Farce Side, but Joel has proved once again that he's in a class all his own. I don't think I'm gonna listen to "Iris" the same way again.
Here's where the technical issues came into play. They had some problems with the projector. Someone in the MU staff screwed up, hence the late start.
This could've been a disaster for Farce Side, but some quick thinking kept that from happening. Joel and Audrey managed to cover well too.
"Kyle and Stacey: Living together" (video)
They're short on rent money, so they have to come up with ways to get some fast cash. What do they come up with? Drinking games, prostitution, but ultimately, it was hand jobs that saved their asses.
"Disabilities class"
How ironic that curing a disability would be a bad thing here.
Since Mat Montgomery wasn't around to play Parkinson's Man, they had to give Brain-Dead Boy a voice synthesizer to compensate for it, which worked.
There was a time when I would sometimes see the "News" as the funniest part of a show, but lately, it hasn't felt that way. I'm not denouncing Alison and Keith, but come on.
My final score is 8.75 out of 10.
