I realize that I've been late in posting these reviews, but I'd like to see how the rest of you can handle a bad disc in your back.
"You gotta have a lawyer" If you watch TV - and if you don't, you're not normal - then you've undoubtably seen commercials for law firms in Arizona. I've seen so many of them by now, I don't pay attention. This is one sketch I've been waiting for, in a way. After seeing all those ads, finally a performance that lampoons them. Yay!
"Sunset Valley Fight Club" A fight club in a retirement home. Yeah, I bet David Fincher could've made something out of this one.
After the fast-pace of the previous sketch, this brought the energy down a little, but I did enjoy the absurdist humor that came along here.
"Inside joke" Although I got the point of this, it didn't really jump out at me. It didn't suck, but I probably won't see it in the "Best of" show.
"V-Day Dinner" Two people are having dinner, and someone inadvertently ruins it. It just keeps building up more and more, until finally the climax. It was classic humor, but it was after Valentine's Day, so it sorta lost some of its effect.
"Pharmacy in 1914" Have you seen a silent film? You know, those movies in black and white and everyone in the movie is always over-gesturing as a way of getting the point across since we don't hear them talk? Well, that was this sketch.
Farce Side has certainly proved they can pull off physical comedy, and don't take this the wrong way, but I hope I don't see this kind of scene too often. You wouldn't want to get stale.
My final score is 9 out of 10.
