What makes a great show? Not getting complacent. Farce Side did not. Ryan even staged a hostile takeover of the "News."
"Burn him!" Sadly, this Frankenstein inspired sketch suffered from Mike Skarsten overdoing it by yelling "BURN HIM!" or variations of it too many times. He did it with such enthusiasm though.
Otherwise, it was solid.
"Ninja boyfriend" The content wasn't what impressed me the most, but the fight scene. It appeared to be very well-rehearsed, which is good when physical scenes are done. It seemed to lack a good pace.
I miss Kristen, and I would love to see her return, yet we can't ignore Kate's potential. She reminds me of an old favorite of mine.
"I'm not a racist" Now, Farce Side has done it all, including racial humor. Every time I've seen that kind of scene, I always think that there's gonna be some groans from the audience. Danny going on a big rant that he's not a racist certainly accomplished that.
They went for the big reveal at the end, when M. Margetis lowered his newspaper - which was covering his face the entire time, revealing something on his forehead. I'll let you imagine what was there.
"Personal narrator" My personal favorite, and the best one of all. If I was rich, would I ever hire someone like that? Probably not.
Tom as the narrator was doing you-know-what while outrageous things were happening. Is there a name for that plot device?
Farce Side delivered their best show this year. Not a 10, but very close.
My final score is 9.75 out of 10.
